Today was a special day!  Had the pleasure of accompanying a dear friend while picking up their newest family member, a yellow lab named Lady.  Though the family (and myself) still mourn the recent loss of their beloved “Dusty”, rescuing a sweet sweet dog and being able to spread their love on to her, will hopefully make the healing process a little easier.  The memories of Dusty will forever remain, the love for Lady has only begun…

My friend is fostering a wonderful dog they have named “Sammy”.  He presently weighs 87 pounds, and is extremely underweight!  The vet believes he is a Newfoundland mix, 3-4 years old, and will probably be around 100 pounds.  Sammy had a vet visit last week and he is heart worm negative, no worms, got all is shots, and on heart worm preventative.  He has been recently groomed, and will be neutered on Thursday.  Sammy has a super sweet disposition, rarely barks, walks beautifully on a leash, and gets along wonderfully with other dogs.  He is not house trained yet, but hoping the neutering will help with that.  Please spread the word, and help us find Sammy a wonderful, loving home!!

Happy New Year!!  The busy holiday season has come and gone, but we have more excited news!  Our newest endeavor, along with adding many new pets, to our Peace Love and Paws clientele, is the beginning of our rescue group:  Salvaged Souls Pet Rescue.  This is a non-profit, 501c3 organization, that is rapidly in the works, so we can help save many sweet babies that are on the streets, in the shelters, or owner surrender.  Please contact me at 817-988-3649, or email [email protected], if you would like to join our group, as a foster, helping with transport, or even to give me any helpful insight/suggestions/donations, etc.  Please spread the word, and check back frequently, for updates on our progress!
